Hey (I am 19 if that should come relevant)
So, last night for dinner I had fried chicken, as you know it can be a little dry and crispy, and probably had a bigger bite & didn’t chew it properly, as immediately I felt as if it had scratched my throat.
You feel it really when your throat is dry and you swallow saliva, eat crunchy or hard food or when you yawn. (At least that’s when I do)
It feels like, umm, kind of pointy- like a stuck fishbone- for a second or two and goes away, though i doubt there’s something stuck in my throat (how could you know? Wouldn’t I choke?) and also, of course, I didn’t have fish.
I am not having any unusual nausea, bleeding or anything.
Could that be a scratch? Is that a normal thing?
Should I be as worried as I am??
Thanks y’all.

Hello Annonymous,
Welcome to EmpowHER.
I think your throat was irritated by the crispy chicken and is nothing serious. Hope it was tasty:)
