STD risks with dry humping?

I once did "dry humping" with a guy and i had my underwear on and if i remember right, he didn't have anything on.(naked) We only rubbed for a minute or two. I know i cant get pregnant but is there any STD risks? Specifically HIV? We didn't have sex or oral sex. Just the brief rubbing.

Hi, Anon.

Thank you for your message.

Frottage is the technical name for what two people are doing when they rub their bodies against each other for sexual pleasure (with or without clothing). It's also known as "dry humping."

*Although frottage is a relatively safe form of sex, especially if clothing is worn, it is possible to get an STD when you are dry humping someone if their infected skin rubs against yours.
