There Are A Few Things I Really Need To Know

Hi, I'm wondering what organ is on the lowest left side of the back? I want to know about this because I feel lots of pain in this area and I'm trying to figure which doctor I should see for this. From my lower left side of my back I feel burning and painful sensation all the way to my left leg. I also feel pain below the left side of my stomach. Two days I have no bowel movement and when it comes it's all loose. I can't understand what's wrong and which doctor to go to. I was feeling fine I don't know why I'm feel like this. I'm feeling nausea and have no appetite. Do you think it's kidney or colon related?

Do you think things like tums or pepto bismol help such matter?

If a person goes to emergency room for such matter do you think they keep you over night? Is it true going emergency they take lots of time until you get your turn to see the doctor?

Please let me know about these soon.

Thank You,
Melissa

I see okay thanks. Can you tell me where exactly are kidneys located, two different people told me two different things and I still don't know? I did go to the urologist today he was nice and helpful but when he looked at my kidneys with the ultrasound he didn't see a problem even though I've been experiencing symptoms of kidney infection. He told me if in case I experience such problem again I should see a gastroenterologist but sounds awkward to me because the pain I feel is mostly in my back, the lower left side of my stomach and it's painful for me from the back especially when I go to the bathroom. Does it sound right going back to the urologist if I need to? Please let me know.

Thank You,
Melissa

Hello Melissa6666,

Ibuprofen is a nonsteriodal anti-inflammatory medication. Pain, fever, and inflammation are promoted by the release in the body of chemicals called prostaglandins. Ibuprofen blocks the enzyme that makes prostaglandins.

Taking ibuprofen relieves symptoms but does not correct a condition or disease. Therefore, if indeed there is a physiological cause of your pain, the physician will be able to discover it.

Hello Melissa6666,

A urologist is a physician who specializes in diseases of the urinary organs in females and the urinary and sex organs in males. If your problem is related to your kidneys. ureters, bladder or urethra, then a urologist can make the diagnosis and prescribe treatment.

I forgot to ask something else does a urologist deal with all organs of the female body? Since I'm going to see such doctor I wanted to say that out of how I'm feeling, very randomly one day I'm all better or one day I feel so much pain, would he still be able to understand what's the problem? Please let me know soon.

Thank You,
Melissa

Hi Melissa6666,

There's nothing to be embrassed about, am sure an Urologist has seen plenty of people with this condition.  Just wait until your appointment and he will tell you if indeed is a kidney infection.

Best,

Daisy

I see okay. Such symptoms I mentioned I have do you think it's kidney infection? I'm actually going to see the Urologist on Tuesday and I'm trying to manage until then. I never been to urology and I'm wondering what would they do on a first visit? He is a male doctor and I'm to embarrassed though. Out of how I feel I just got to go with it.

Thank You,
Melissa
