Hi
We had sex a week back and I was fine after the act. But a week later, I got the odor of semen from the vagina. I did have mild itching. I then used lactic acid lotion (vaginal wash) and finally got rid of it. But again since today I'm getting the same odor of semen with mild itching.
I do not understand why the smell comes after many days after sex. Moreover I was not having any problem during/after sex.
Pls help.

Hi empower,
Welcome to EmpowHER. Any vaginal discharge accompanied with odor and/or itching and burning. Are symptoms of a vaginal infection. You need to see your OBGYN and so he can prescribe the right treatment for you. Over the counter will just relieve the symptoms, but will not cure the infection. Hope this was helpful?
