What are the chances of pregnancy?

Me and my boyfriend have been together for three years. We have been waiting to have sex and now we feel emotionally and physically ready. 3 weeks ago, I started birth control for the first time. My doctor did tell me that after two weeks, I was protected. Anyways, me and my boyfriend, on two occasions, engaged in genital contact where we were just rubbing/grinding with no condom, just my birth control protection. Yesterday, he actually tried to penetrate me without a condom, but it hurt so bad so I told him to stop. I'm 99% sure he didn't go inside... After that we just continued to rub our genitals and so on. He was holding his penis a majority of the time at the tip, and he is reassuring me that he would've felt pc come out since his hand was there. He did NOT ejaculate, I know this for a fact. I'm just worried because I've only been on birth control for a short amount of time, and isn't there always a slight chance of pregnancy when a penis is in the presence of a vagina? :( I'm really freaked out and I've been really upset since.. I hate feeling paranoid. Thank you

Thank you for the reply! Now I have another question.. What IF he went in like a really really small amount? I know he didn't even get the tip in like just the smallest amount and no ejaculation, what would be the chances?

Thank you for sharing your question.

I understand why you are nervous, but you are fine. There are 3 reasons that support my statement. Your boyfriend didn't penetrate your vagina, he didn't ejaculate and you are currently on birth control.

Know that in the future, if you engage sexually again you should have him use a back up method (condom) for at least your first month of being on birth control pills.
