I missed one pill Thursday night, in my third week, but made it up as soon as i woke up on Friday morning. I also took my pill about 3 hours late on Saturday night, which would have been my last active pill. My boyfriend and I had sex soon after. We used a condom, but it broke. He had already went shortly before we had sex. He went inside of me not knowing the condom broke, but he barely went. What are my chances of getting pregnant?

Hi,
I am on alesse 28 and I missed my pill on the third night. On the same night my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex and I made up for the pill the next morning. I have continued to take my pills at the scheduled time and am currently on the tenth day. What are my chances of getting pregnant? Thank you

Hello Anonymous,

You made up for the missed one dose and should be protected. You will know once you have withdrawal bleeding.

Hi,
I was wondering what my chances are of getting pregnant.
I am on alesse 28 and I forgot to take one of the pills the third night and during that night my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex. that was the only day I missed the pill and made up for it the next day. I am now on the 10th day of the pill. Thanks so much

Hello Anonymous,

You should be okay and not at risk for becoming pregnant because you made up for the missed dose. You will know once you have withdrawal bleeding during the week of inactive pills.

Hi,
I have been consistently taking the mini pill Noriday for the past 3 months. I took my last pill in the morning (Sunday) and have unprotected sex that night. My new pack should start the next day (Monday) but I ran out and have to collect it from the pharmacist. So now I am 4 days without the pill but have not had sex eversince I ran out. Will get my pills on Saturday. What are my chances of getting pregnant? Thank you so much.

Hello Anonymous,

If you took the last pill on Sunday morning, you should still have been protected during intercourse that night.

As long as you have not had intercourse during the time you have not taken Noriday, you should not be at risk for becoming pregnant.

My only concern is that sperm can live inside the female reproductive system for three to five days. Without starting the new pack on Monday, was there a chance to stimulate ovulation while sperm was alive inside. You may want to speak with your gynecologist.

Maryann

Hi again,
Thanks for your reply. Appreciate it. My next period is due in 10-11 days, can I still ovulate on that Monday onwards? I am worried about the sperm living inside. I will have protected sex until I have my pills. Until then I can only find out about what happens, once my period come or will not come. Thank you x
