What are my risks of being pregnant?

So i'm spotting a week before my period, and i can't tell if it's implantation bleeding, spotting, or my period. I had unprotected sex a week ago from today, then the day after that i took my pill about 9 hours late. This is my third month of birth control. The spotting is a darker brownish red color, and it started only a few spots but now its starting to get heavy, and it stafted last night with very very minor cramping.

Hi, aaaqqqq.

It sounds to me like you are starting your period.
Discharge that appears light pink or light brown can be a sign of implantation bleeding. Some women mistake this light spotting for their period, but it's much lighter and only lasts a few hours or days. Wait and see if your period comes. If it does not, take a home pregnancy test.

I hope this helps.

Hi, thanks for replying(: if you believe it is just my period starting, how should i wait for my period to come? Do believe it's just spotting? The flow has changed throughout the day, it was somewhat heavy for an hour but its just been tracing other than that, and it has only been 24 hours. Should I just wait and see how long it bleeds for and then i'll know? When I was on birth control for the first month my period came a week early too, but last month it came normally, and this is my third month so i do not know what to expect.

Hi again.

Yes, wait and see when it ends. As I mentioned in my initial reply, you can always take a home pregnancy test if you really feel unsure.
