Q:

What's the chances of having an unusual pregnancy when having the nexplanon implant birth control at the same time?

While having the nexplanon still impalnted, I started having the whole morning sickness, 3 weeks later my breast became tender and fatigue set in, this now week 4 I'm experiencing dark bleeding, pain on my lower right abdomen, back pain, possibly UTI, and tiredness. I've had the same partner, very good relationship, for the past year and a half. What could all this lead to WHILE having the nexplanon birth control that is soon to be removed?

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

This implant needs to be removed sooner rather than later, your symptoms are quite severe. There are many forms of birth control and not all are suitable for each woman. Contact your doctor immediately. If you are concerned about pregnancy, take a test.
Best,
Susan
