Carole Baggerly explains if women should get their vitamin D solely from supplements.

I wouldn’t want to eliminate sun exposure because we don’t know what else the sun does, all right? It may, you know, we may be able to replace the sun’s conversion in our skin to the D3 but the sun is probably doing something else, too. So I wouldn’t want to say exclusively, I’d still encourage it, sun exposure.
