Did you know that if you're a woman with a stressful job, you could have a much higher risk for serious heart problems later in life? Check out today's HER Daily Dose to learn more!

Hey everyone, I’m Bailey Mosier, your HER Daily Dose host. Did you know that if you're a woman with a stressful job, you could have a much higher risk for serious heart problems later in life?

New research from Brigham and Women's Hospital analyzed 22,000 women over 10 years and found that women with significant job strain are 70 percent more likely to have a heart attack and 40 percent more likely to have other cardiovascular traumas, such as a stroke, than women less stressed out by work. These numbers are rather alarming, but researchers wonder if high-strain jobs are making women eat, drink, or smoke more and that’s the reason for increased risk for heart problems or if it’s the stress itself.

So what do you think? Do you feel too much stress at your job? Comment below and let us know how stressed out you’re feeling and tune in here, at EmpowHER.com every weekday for another dose of women’s health.

Stress has a huge effect on our mental and physical state. We all need to learn to take time for ourselves during the day. Its never easy but its a must.
