Higher-protein meals may help overweight and obese people burn more fat.
A new study found that overweight men and women burned more post-meal fat when they ate a high-protein breakfast and lunch than when they had lower-protein meals. The added protein seemed to modify the fat-burning deficit seen in heavy individuals. A number of studies have suggested that high-protein diets may help people shed weight more easily. Do you agree? Funny enough, I just read an article about this that said that high protein diets are good for weight loss. It was mainly due to the fact that you eat less when you have a high protein diet and you absorb less calories in your diet. In other words, you feel full and eat less.

On the other hand, The American Heart Association does indicate that high protein diets may be lacking in essential nutrients that the body needs though. The long term effectiveness of high protein diets are questionable. Like an diet, there are pros and cons. Talking to a nutritionist may be best in order to find the best diet for your body type and normal eating habits. Exercise is also key.
