Obesity

Nearly 100 million adults in the United States are considered overweight or obese. Excess weight can contribute to multiple health conditions including high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, respiratory problems, sleep apnea and cancers. Your body mass index (BMI) takes into account your weight and height and is one way to distinguish between being simply overweight and being obese.
