Heavy chest constriction off and on for almost a year now, debilitating, comes with nausea, sweating although probably result of constriction. Feels like possibly a fire-hose around the chest. Can feel each episode coming on, starts as odd pain in lower chest and escalates quickly to full blown hard pain to point of tears. Can also feel each episode passing, once it passes I'm back to normal except for being tired. First diagnosed as anxiety attacks, prescribed medication, didn't work. Went back, diagnosed as angina, prescribed nitro-spray. Referred doctor says not angina, don't use nitro-spray. Heart is apparently healthy after many tests, xrays, blood, EKG, EMR... No answers, no medication, episodes are sometimes 2 to 3 per week, then nothing for a couple months. Happens at no particular time or place, random to what I can figure. REALLY can't see myself enduring the pain when I'm in my 60's/70's, would love to hear an answer as to what this might be, friends/family/co-workers get quite concerned when it happens. Anybody else out there experience this?
