Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Thank you for your question. Are you asking about yourself?

What is your gender, age, weight and do you have any medical conditions? These factors are relevant.

Generally, according to the American Heart Association, a blood pressure of less than 120 systolic (upper number) and less than 80 diastolic (lower number) is considered normal.

Prehypertensive: 120-139/80-89
Hypertensive: 140-159/90-99

Regards,
Maryann
