Could you tell me if loss of emotional feelings and pushing people closest to you away are a symptoms of anaemia.

It may not be a direct cause, but anemia can be a sign of thyroid issues, which regulates your hormones, which can affect your emotions. I went to multiple mds, they all missed my thyroid issue, even a specialist, they just wanted to prescribe depression meds, which made me check out emotionally, a lot more . I've taken a holistic approach and am doing bioidentical hormones and already feeling much better. Do your research, you may need to pay out of pocket. Btw, my husband had similar issues with emotions...thyroid and hormones were off.

Hi Anon,
Thank you for sharing your question with the EmpowHER community.
Anaemia means that either the level of red blood cells or the level of haemoglobin is lower than normal, which deprives the body of adequate oxygen. Common symptoms are due to the reduced amount of oxygen in the body and include tiredness, feeling faint, and becoming easily breathless.
Perhaps the lethargic feeling and tiredness can make one feel less social, but loss of emotion is not a symptom that is directly related.
Be well,
