Having an irregular period can make it more difficult to get pregnant. The best thing to do, is see your doctor to have your hormone levels checked. The results will allow your doctor to know whether you need some hormone therapy or perhaps fertility medication in order to become pregnant.

Hello and thank you for sharing your question.
The most common way to maintain a regular period is to take birth control pills. These pills contain hormones that keep your cycle regular.
Please note that it is perfectly normal to have irregular periods and is usually no cause for alarm. The only time it is necessary to have a regular period is if you have prolonged menstrual bleeding, you are trying to get pregnant or you have negative symptoms related to your cycle such as debilitating cramps.
