Which is better cotton or silk on sensitive skin? Are there any other fabrics to consider with very sensitive skin?

Hi Kelly

Thanks for your question!

Cotton and silk are your two best options if you have sensitive skin. They are both natural products and cotton "breathes" as you may have heard - allowing good ventilation. Silk is gentle on the skin, is very light and wears well.

Hemp is also another option for you, as is linen. Linen comes from a plant called flax.

Stay away from products like polyester and Lycra. They are clingy and tight and don't allow your body to breath at all.

Try to wear slightly loose fitted clothing.

Use a detergent free of dyes, colors and scents.

Has this helped?
