Are these symptoms of pregnancy or the pill?

I had unprotected sex last Sat.morning at 5 am and took plan b about 85 hours laterthe plan b instructions says you can take it up to 120 hours but now its been 5 days since i took it and i am having soar throat, fever, and my breasts are tender. could these be signs that the pill is working or of pregnancy? please reply

Hi Anon,

Plan B can cause changes to your period.  But if you are concerned about being pregnant, you should considered taking a home pregnancy test.

i and ny boyfrnd had an intercourse 9 days before today and nw i missed my menstuals and it has been around 5 days from my date, but still i saw a bit of blood in my urine 1-2 times so it is cuz i am pregnent or i will be getting my menstuals later.....?

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  According to Plan B, Some women may experience mild side effects, similar to those of regular birth control pills. The most common include: include changes in your period, nausea, lower abdominal pain, fatigue, headache, dizziness, and breast tenderness. After taking Plan B® One-Step, women should be informed that their next period may be heavier or lighter, earlier or later.  Fever and sore throat can be due to a cold, but I don't think it has to do with Plan B.
