There are several medications that treat HBP. What works well for you, might not for someone else. For some patients, more than one medication will be tried before finding the one that works best. Diet and lifestyle changes may also be recommended to treat HBP.

There are several types of drugs used to treat high blood pressure, including:
Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors.
Angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs)
Diuretics.
Beta-blockers.
Calcium channel blockers.
Alpha-blockers.
Alpha-agonists.
Renin inhibitors.

Your doctor will prescribe the right one for you.
