Can i be pregnant

I had unprotected sex, more than once in September, I've gotten my period for October and November and I tested negative on a PG test a week or 2 ago. But my symptoms are really bad and my vivid dreams every night worry me, could I still be pregnant or am I being paranoid?

Hi Anon,

Thank you for sharing your question.

Anytime you have unprotected sex, you increase your risk for pregnancy. But since you've had your menstrual cycle two consecutive months after, in addition to a negative pregnancy test, the only conclusion is that you aren't pregnant.

What symptoms do you have? Are the symtoms only specific to pregnancy or are they associated with menstrual symptoms as well?

It's normal to be paranoid when we've engaged in behavior we know can give us an outcome we don't want. Perhaps you should take another pregnancy test to confirm the negative result.

Try to relax and prepare better in the future with birth control so you don't have to stress like this anymore.

Be well,
