I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend on tuesday and missed my birth control wednesday, thrusday and friday. I took Saturday's pill but could I get pregnant it was during my 3rd week on that pack.

I'm still bleeding from not taking my pills. Should I wait about a week or two and take a pregnancy test?

Hello Anonymous,
If you are continuing to bleed, I think it is safe to say that you are not pregnant. But, you should still talk with your gynecologist about the bleeding.

February 22, 2015 - 2:28pmI had my regular period from Monday 9th feb to Saturday 14th feb, I should have started my new pill pack (Trinovum) on Saturday 14th but my chemist forgot to order and couldn't collect until the Wednesday after. I finally started my new pill Wednesday evening and been taking normally ever since but me and my husband had sex Saturday 21st feb without extra protection and my nurse advised me to take extra precautions. But we got caught in the moment as we wouldn't usually need to worry. I "THINK" it may have also been my strongest ovulation day according to my app.. My next period isn't due until 7th March. I am now very worried... What are the chances I'm pregnant?

Try to relax if you can. All that you can do now is wait. If the nurse suggested using extra protection, I am sure she had her reason. You may want to talk with her again regarding the risk for pregnancy by having intercourse on February 21.

Today I had unprotected sex, and I missed pill 21 but took it right after sex at 5pm (normally I take it at 9 in the morning). Im nervous I might be pregnant, I'm thinking maybe I should get the morning after pill.

I realize my reply is late, but you should have been okay because you missed only one dose and took it as soon as you realized it. I hope you haven't taken an emergency contraceptive pill because it wasn't necessary.

I was wondering if I could get pregnant. Jaunary 2015 I stopped my birthcontrol didn't feel right on it. This February, I started taking it again as I felt stupid for stopping as I'm sexually active with my boyfriend, and thought we'd use another method. I have missed around 6 pills as I travel 2 hrs to see him and forgot my pills at home. He ensured me we would be fine. I started to bleed though as if I'm starting my period again. Is that normal? Does that mean I'm not pregnant? I only had my period a week and a half ago !

You are not pregnant because you have had vaginal bleeding that resembles a menstrual period. The bleeding that occurred about a week and a half after your last period was breakthrough bleeding, which is bleeding between periods. The hormonal imbalance caused by stopping and restarting your birth control pills is most likely the reason for this.

First two months on b.c. ever, i have been good about taking them except this past week, i had unprotected sex Tuesday and then i missed my pill Wednesday/Thursday (third week in my pack), should i be concerned since i missed two days i didn't have sex on wed/Thurs but the day before i did. My period on the pill was spotty and i always had short light period so if i did miss my period it wouldn't normally be a concern, except now that i miss two pill i'm nervous i wont notice if i am possibly pregnant. do i even have to test i did start my pills up after i noticed i missed them
