I had sex three months ago, and I have had two periiods since. I have a period two weeks after I lost my virginity, and then another one a month later, that one was exceptionally heavy. But this month I have not. Well not yet. It was due this week but they aren't 100% regular cause I'm only 16. Do you think I could be pregnant. I am so worried because if I am I'd be like 3 months pregnant. and I've just started my a levels so I'm stressing about them too. But if I go to doctors its hard to get to them because I live in a village in countryside with no shops. I'm stressing so much. Can any of you offer me some help or advice? Thank you.

Can women who are pregnant have what seems like a normal period?

Me and my girlfriend had sex on the 1st of February, she's had both her periods since then but her period at the end of February was fairly heavy and her period at the end of march was fairly light, this might be because she's had a lot of exams at the moment so it might be stress, the only symptoms of pregnancy she is showing is tiredness, is she pregnant?

Me and my boyfriend had sex on Valentine's Day. I had a normal period at the normal time about 3 weeks later, and I started another period today. There is no way I'm pregnant? I've been worried because I've read that girls have had what seems like a normal period, even when they are pregnant. Please help! I'm so stressed.

Hello Anonymous,

I am glad you reached out to us with your concern.

You did not become pregnant. Having two periods since sex is proof.

We get repeated posts that women still have there periods during their pregnancies.

A woman can experience spotting during her pregnancy.

That is different from a menstrual or period flow.

During your period, the bleeding or flow is actually the lining of your uterus that is being shed and released.

During pregnancy, the lining of the uterus remains intact. The fertilized egg implants in the lining and continues to grow and develop.

When a woman has bleeding like a period during her pregnancy, that is a sign of a miscarriage or loss of the pregnancy.

Regards,
Maryann

I had unprotected sex three months ago (Jan 2 2017), I took Nordette pills 5 days after the deed. I had my "period" on Jan 16th 2017. I tested a week after that and had negative results. We had some sexual acts last Feb 20, but no penetration. I tested March 21st, which had negative results. Then on March 22 and 23, I had bleeding. I tested again on March 29th and it resulted to negative again. It is April now, and I still don't have my period. Am I paranoid or pregnant?

Me and my boyfriend had sex about two an half weeks ago around the 10th which was like 8 days after my period, i took a pregnancy test a couple of days ago and it came out negative. But was weird was that i was scheduled to start my period this past friday and i was spotting thursday and i started friday, but it was a really light period compared to what i normal have, i only used i believe one pad that actually filled up after one ENTIRE day and i tried to not drink as much water to keep me from going to the bathroom so i could see if i was on my actual period or not. Now today is monday and i have no signs of me ever being on my period, its like it stop just like that. I figured maybe i wasnt pregnant because i got my period, but now looking back i dont believe that was my period at all. Could i really be pregnant and should just wait to take another pregnancy test?

Hi anonymous,
If you are trying to get pregnant, I know exactly how you feel. It took me 5 years and one loss to finally have my sweet girl. I tried and tried with just about anything. Even fertility treatment. My best advice to you is to visit your OB/GYN. Sit down and have an open discussion without feeling ashamed or embarrassed. Also, stress plays a big part in not being able to conceive. At least, it did for me. When I finally decided to give up on trying I told hubby to just take me dancing and have fun with friends. It took ONE drunken night for me to finally be relaxed. 2weeks later I knew I was pregnant. I had false negatives several times until my OB/GYN did blood work. I now have 2 beautiful girls. Now go out be free of stress and have a few drinks! If you don't end up pregnant then at least you had a great time.

Best of luck to you!
