Last Saturday, 5/2 I had missed my birth control pill for that day, (thinking I took it but didn't) and that night around 11ish my fiancé and I had unprotected sex.. I also forgot to take my pill on Sunday, 5/3 but took it at around 9:30 Sunday night with my Saturday pill that I saw I had forgotten to take. I than took the rest of my pills regularly. I usually take my pills at 8:48 each morning.. But today I just started spotting.. Could this be implantation bleeding. I was told that even after missing a pill after 36 hours it wouldn't raise my risk of being pregnant.. When would be a good time to test, if anything. Since I'm only finishing week two tomorrow I don't get my period until week four pills. What could this possible be and if it's pregnancy would implantation bleeding occur a week after..
Also, does birth control make you more fertile or less?

Hi Anon,
Thank you for being a part of the EmpowHER community and sharing your question.
It sounds like it could potentially be implantation bleeding.
What color was the spotting?
There are 3 distinctive characteristics of implantation bleeding; amount, color and duration.
If your spotting was pinkish or brown in color, that is indicative of implantation bleeding. Also, implantation bleeding last anywhere from a couple of hours to 1-2 days.
Lastly, because you described it as spotting, then that would qualify it for meeting the quantity amount as "scanty".

Implantation Bleeding or Period?
No, birth control pills do not make you more fertile.
I hope this helps.

It was the littlest streak only when I wiped and only did it once today, but looks red didn't look pinkish or brown. Also, it says on the link you have provided for me (thank you by the way) implantation bleeding would occur a week before next period, and my last period was only on 4/27. So could I get pregnant that quickly even after missing my pill Saturday, taking Sunday's pill late but also taking Saturday's pill with Sunday's pill Sunday night and than taking my birth control regularly the next day? Or is it still a high possibility its implantation bleeding, or could my body be adjusting back to the regular schedule of my pill taking?
