Hi confusedmum,

If you are late on your period it can be due to the contraceptive pills that has cause changes to your cycle. All these symptoms can also be side effects from birth control pills or you might be pregnant. You should see your doctor, so that he can confirm if you are pregnant or not.  Probably through blood work.

Hi confusedmum,

Welcome to EmpowHER. After taking an Emergency contraceptive pills, some women experience an irregular bleeding on their next period. Such as heavier or lighter, longer or shorter.  Other side effects can also be nausea, lower abdominal pain, fatigue, headache, dizziness, and breast tenderness. If the symptoms continue, it might be important to see your doctor.

Best,

Daisy
