I have never been pregnant but I think there is a possibilty that I might be. My last menstrual cylce began around 4/29-4/30. I had unprotected sex with my husband on 5/15. On 5/18 I noticed a brownish discharge on the tissue when I wiped after urination. That same evening I started cramping. The next 2-3 days I was cramping, nauseous, had an upset stomach. I have been taking the Monessa birth control pill for the past three months. I did miss the first three pills but I doubled up to make up for the missed pills and did not miss another pill going forward. Did I experience implantation bleeding and ovulation? If I am pregnant, it was not planned and I am afraid.

I am sorry yes you are correct. The dates would have been Sun-Tues 5/2-5/4. I am just really nervous and anxious to find out if I am pregnant. Thank you for your help.

The most important piece of information is missing: what dates did you miss your birth control pills, and what dates did you make them up?
Basically, you are having protected sex (from pregnancy) since you are on birth control pills. If the three pills you missed were the same week, or less than 7 days, before you had sex, than there is an increased chance of pregnancy. To say it another way: when you miss several pills in-a-row, you must use back-up protection for 7 days afterwards. If you miss 3 or more, does your pill pack say to start with a NEW pack, or if not, what do the instructions say? It is important to follow the instructions exactly, as any deviation can increase your chances of pregnancy.
Implantation bleeding, if you were pregnant, can take 10-14 days AFTER ovulation, as it takes this long for the egg to be released from ovary, travel down fallopian tube, be fertilized, travel into uterus and implant. The cramping, spotting, etc. you experienced was most likely from your not taking the birth control pill for 3 days in-a-row (your body "read" this as you stopping the pill); implantation bleeding does not occur within days of intercourse.
Lastly...it was most likely too soon to test for pregnancy, as you need to wait until you have missed a period. If you are on a 28-day cycle or longer, you would not have expected your period to start yet, right?
Once you have missed your period, you can take a home pregnancy test, and its results would be close to 99% accurate.
Please let us know when your period begins, or when you take another test. If you would like to tell us the dates of your missed pills, that would be helpful.

The pills were missed the first 3 days of the first week. I am expecting to start my period for the month of May around 5/27 or 5/28.

I'm sorry...but what were the dates of that "first week"?
I understand you had intercourse on 5/15, you are expecting your period around 5/27. Am I to assume you missed the pill the first week of May, about 2 weeks before you had sex? (Please know, I'm not trying to be difficult, but need to have exact information to give you the best answer!).

I have already taken a pregnancy test and it shows negative. I am sure that I have tested too soon though.
