Q:

Could I be pregnant or is if just paranoia and stress?

So my boyfriend and I had sex for my first time at the beginning of the month, right after I had just finished my period. He used a condom, put it on correctly, and he pulled out before he ejaculated. I am on no birth control as of right now and haven't been in the past. My period sometimes have longer cycles and are irregular, but I haven't had it yet since when I had it on the 25th of September, although my last period before the September one was August 15th. I haven't had any signs of pregnancy, any bleeding, or sickness but I guess I'm just really worried about being pregnant. I've been really stressed out with college, work and the thought of possibly being pregnant so I'm not sure if that has something to do with my period cycle or not. If you could give me some kind of feedback as to what you think, that would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thanks for your question. Stress can definitely cause a delay on ovulation and your period.  If you had protected intercourse, it's unlikely you will be pregnant.  But, if you are really concerned.  You might want to take a home pregnancy test.

Hope this was helpful?

Best,

Daisy
