We see so many lining the shelves. Everything from Voss to Evian to Figi . Does the added cost included any added health benefits compared to the less expensive brands.

Hello Kelly,

There is no additional health benefits gained from drinking expensive bottled water instead of tap water.

The FDA oversees bottled water. The Environmental Protection Agency regulates tap water. Both federal agencies use similar standards for ensuring safety.

Be aware that vitamin fortified bottled water is water with sugar and synthetic vitamins added. A single bottle of one brand of vitamin fortified water contains 33 grams of sugar.
