Does stress really delay a females period and what if she has a 24 day cycle ?

My girlfriend and I did have intercourse but with a condoms no leaks or anything but this month she's had alot of stress problems at school having to fist fight another girl and stressing who should she trust in school having to be in the heat walking after school and stressing if she gets her period today she started on August 19 and was suppose to get it on September 19 which hasn't came yet I need help !:( her period cycle is 7 days she bleeds then in the next 24 days she's suppose to bleed but idk I need help.

Welcome to EmpowHER. Stress can affect many things in our lives, including our periods. Sometimes we're so stressed out that our body decreases the amount of a hormone (GnRH), which causes us to not ovulate or menstruate.  If she does not get her period, she might want to take a home pregnancy test or see her OBGYN.
