Excessive AndrogenicAlopecia

Hello!
(Edited) I'm 27 years old, weight is 63 kgs and I'm never married.
I'm having Androgenic Alopecia. This problem started more than 10 years ago, when due to excessive hair fall, I had to cut my waist length hair up to shoulders. But the problem worsened. I also had poly cystic ovarian problem. But after continuing use of Diane 35 and Tab. Glucophage and weight reduction from 67 kg to 54 kg, my periods got normal.
But my hair problem is never solving, and I've gone quite bald from the front. My scalp is extremely oily and has excessive sweat glands as well. I've tried Tab. Aldactone, Minoxidil Hair Spray, Ketoconazole shampoo and all these for significant durations, but still hair fall is continuing.

My weight changes frequently. Like during past 8-9 months, since I've started my current job, I've gained a lot of weight and have gone from 55 kg to 64 kg. This job is sedentary, sitting in office for 9 hours daily, though every month, I have one to two out of city travels.
I use to wear head scarf. And that also causes my scalp to sweat more. Though even without that, when I'm at home without scarf. my scalp sweats.
I've done my serum testosterone and DHEA levels. They were within normal limits. DHEA was in upper normal range.
Hair texture has gone very rough, wavy and lusterless. Haven't got much hair left though.
Who will marry me... A bald girl? :(

Hi Dr. Jabeen

Plenty of men would be lucky and happy to married an educated woman, no matter the state of her hair. Cancer patients marry, people in wheelchairs marry, people with all sorts of physical issues marry and live happy lives. You might actually end up better off because the men you get involved with may be less superficial than one who would be with you just because you had long hair, you know?

I suggest you visit a wig place like those that consult for women going through chemo and that sort of thing if you tire of the scarf. They are very sensitive to the issue of women's hair loss for whatever reason, and will help guide you in finding just the right wig for you. They will fit it and maybe that will help you feel more confident.

If you are a nice person, and you are obviously intelligent, you will have no problem finding a husband. The biggest issue you have is self-confidence. You are far more than your hair.

Thank you for writing and good luck.
