1 week history of periorbital pain and redness on the lateral aspect of the left eye. What could be the cause of these symptoms?

Hi Anon

Thanks for your question!

Eye pain and redness can have many causes. You could have an eye infection of some sorts, conjunctivitis (pink eye) or need to be tested for eye pressure/glaucoma.

You may have a minute object in your eye also or some kind of abrasion on your lens/cornea/any part of your eye.

You could have something called Uveitis - you can read more here.

I assume from what you have said that you have seen a doctor. Was there no diagnosis? Was there any testing done?
