ask: FAMILY VIOLENCE BETWEEN ME AND SISTER AND HER HUSBAND
I WENT TO SEE MY SISTER THE WEEK OF DECEMBER 20. SHE AND I HAVE TROUBLE GETTING ALONG, ALWAYS HAVE, BUT WE USUALLY DO THE YELLING AND SCREAMING OVER THE PHONE OR OVER THE INTERNET. WELL THIS TIME THE FIGHT GOT PHYSICAL. i WAS TRYING TO WALK AWAY SO THAT THINGS WOULDN'T ESCALATE, SO SHE RAN UP TO CATCH ME, GRABBED MY ARM, I JERKED AWAY. THIS KEPT GOING ON. WELL MY BROTHER IN LAW WAS CALLED AT WORK AND HE CAME HOME AND THAT'S WHEN THE REAL HEAVY DUTY STUFF HAPPENED. HE TIRED TO HOLD ME DOWN IN A SEAT, NOT ONCE BUT TWICE. IN OTHER WORDS ME PUT HIS HANDS ON ME. I WAS FINALLY ABLE TO GET AWAY BUT I RAN LIKE HELL. EVEN THOUGH THIS HAS BEEN THREE WEEKS I AM STILL HAVING TROUBLE PROCESSING THIS BECAUSE IT SEEMS SO UNREAL. I COULD FILE CHARGES AGAINST THEM IF I WANTED TO. FOR ASSAULT AND FALSE IMPRISONMENT.

shannon, I'm 70 and my only sister, 5 years younger, and I have had problems all our lives. Like you and your sister it is almost always disagreeable conversations, and there have been physical times from our youth until in our twenties. She now lives on the other side of the Nation and stated in our last phone conversation that she never wants to see me, we can talk on the phone and that is it...So I will just have to admit to myself that she does not have me in her heart and go on with my life. I suggest that You do the same, Life is short and there are those who want to be with us and who we enjoy being with. Blood is not the only link. The Bible gives us many tales of brothers killing brothers, etc, so why should it surprise us that the anger is there! I wish you much LOVE and HAPPINESS and put this and your sister behind you! It's hard but as I stated Life is just too short to live in anger and unhappiness!

Well, I have already put her and her husband behind me, but it is my 22 year old niece who I want to keep. My niece is my sister's daughter with her first husband. The man she is married to now is her second husband.
