I saw this at my dermatoligist office. And I have bought clothes with this treatment. You wash the clothes with it and it claimes upf protection for 20 washes. It is very inexpensive from the web site. But does it really work?

Hi Anon

Thanks for your post!

I have not used this myself (in fact, I had never heard of it) but the reviews on Amazon are generally positive - you can read them here: http://www.amazon.com/Rit-Guard-Laundry-Treatment-Protectant/product-reviews/B0000Y3F6W

This product is also mentioned by the Skin Cancer Foundation : http://www.skincancer.org/sun-protective-clothing.html

Hopefully some readers who use it can give you their input but it does seem to work and it certainly doesn't harm clothes. Wearing a sunscreen as additional protection would make it a good combination.
