A simple and good way to tell if you are hydrated enough is if your urine is clear enough to see through, like you could read through it. It is easier than counting ounces of water, although that is more accurate. But as a rule of thumb, it is known to be a quick way to tell if you are drinking enough water/fluids.

 cgw1901,

Drinking 8 glasses of water daily should keep you hydrated. A few signs that you are keeping hydrated include frequent urination throughout the day. If you are only going 3-4 times per day, then you are likely not drinking enough water.

Signs of dehydration include:

  • Dry mouth
  • Limited tear production
  • Thirst
  • Weakness
  • Decreased urination
  • Concentrated urine
    • Darker color
    • Stronger odor
  • Wrinkled skin or tenting when pinched
  • Eyes that appear sunken
  • Parched, cracked lips
  • Dizziness or feeling faint
  • Drowsiness
  • Nausea
  • Irritability
  • Confusion
  • Fever
  • Low blood pressure
  • Increased pulse
  • Weight loss

Hope this helps,

Rosa
