The pill works fine for me, periods are regular, and painless. Went off the pill last year, as figured i did not need it anymore, and periods were horrible (heavy, painful, vomiting, headaches, cramps), so I went back on. Dr suggests that I go off again, have blood test, and start using Mirena IUD. I have a very busy, stressful, travel-filled job and cannot afford to be down because of a period! what can you advise about the IUD for hormones?

The decision to give Mirena IUD is yours to make. The website, Drugs.com, provides a very complete overview of the product, including possible side effects. Give it a look. Hopefully the provided information can help you make a decision.
