Q:

I am an eight year estrogen/progestrogen positive breast cancer survivor. Chemo put me into menopause at 49. I still suffer from hotflashes, insomnia, symptoms that interfere with normal life. I want to try estrogen, for awhile. What is your opinion?

My symptoms are severe. I cannot do normal daily activities without severe sweating. I am exhausted, especially when the hotflashes are so awful. I sweat profusly at night and then wake up chilled. My moods are up and down within a day. I am depressed, on Paxil. My memory is awful and I have cognitive problems. I would like your opinion before I talk to my doctors. Especially since my oncoligist and gyn have to agree on this.
Thank you. Valery
