ask: i am getting white fluid from my breast on pressing the nipples.

i had a baby 2yrs before and stopped breast feeding one year before.What is this fluid and do i need to check with the gyno?

Hi Anonymous,
Thank you for your question and for finding EmpowHER. Fluid discharge from the breast not associated with normal lactation is called Galactorrhea. You may want to call your doctor and explain any symptoms to see if they think it warrants a visit to check things out. It is likely they may want to check to make sure there isn't any infection, and rule out other possible conditions.
