I am not currently in a sexual relationship, but I have a very high sex drive. What do I do?

I am 18 years old and I have always had a high sex drive ever since I can remember. It got really bad after me and my boyfriend, who had oral sex regularly, broke up. I find myself wanting sex a lot, but I do not want to have sex before I am married. So I am keeping myself out of any relationships so I am not tempted. But lately I have found myself watching porn and pleasuring myself. What should I do? I feel like I should not be doing this, but I cannot lower my sex drive.

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Having a high sex drive is normal especially being a young person. It becomes a problem when it starts affecting your life, by causing stress. Then it would be best to see your doctor.
