I bleed one day the week before right after i had intercourse. I thought i had started then til i awoke the next morning to find nothing. so the following monday i started my cycle but it did not seem normal and it had been bright red for 8 days. I am not soaking a pad or anything , but i am still having cramps. This is all very different than any other period ive had. And i also still feel bloated.

Guide

The vaginal bleeding just after having sexual intercourse may have been caused by friction during sexual intercourse. Enough friction during sexual intercourse can cause bleeding. Inflammation of the cervix can also result in bleeding.

Anytime your period, like now, is lasting longer, the vaginal bleeding is bright red in color and you continue to have cramps, consult your doctor for evaluation and advice. It may be nothing serious, however, check with your doctor to be sure.
