Did your doctor provide any additional information? If not, can you call the office and talk with a nurse about your test results? What type of HPV have you been diagnosed with? What strain is it, and you can certainly tell them you have a family history of cancer, and you are concerned about not having more testing done with a "high risk" diagnosis. Your nurse or doctor can explain more why they are choosing the treatment option of re-testing in 6 months, and this may be the best treatment....their job is to INFORM you about why or why not testing is needed, what treatments are available, etc.

Can you post again after you talk with your doctor or nurse, and we can help find more information based on your specific diagnosis? You can ask for a copy of your test results, which we highly recommend.
