My last attack in July was quite a heavy one with massive hug feelings in my upper body, i lost the use of my legs for a few weeks, i had double vision for a month. I was treated with steroids in hospital and after three months i have improved resulting in grater drop foot problems. My Neurologist put me forward for disease modifying drugs, but after going to the clinic the neuro. there recomended that because i am sixty and i have had few attacks and i am doing quite well that i dont need the disease modifying drugs please advise.

Hi charalambous,

Thank you for your question and welcome to Empowher. I would never suggest to anyone to stop taking any medications without first consulting with your physician. If you have concerns about the medication or your treatment, seeking a second opinion would be better so they can assess you in person.

Sorry, I could not be of more help to you but a treating physician should be answering questions regarding medications.

Please keep us posted.

Missie
