Q:

I have a sphincter in spasm and the next step is surgical intervention. Is there an alternative more gentle approach that I could try?

Hi Anonymous

It depends a lot on what sphincter you are talking about. You have sphincters in several places on your body, so without knowing which one you're having a problem with it is hard to discuss treatment in any meaningful way.

If you are comfortable with it, please share a little more detail and we'll find you some resources. Thanks for writing.
