Please I ve been having sexual intercourse with my partner after my period. My period was on 26 of Nov and we started having sex till this time but he never told me to use postinor 2. It's 3 days to my period n we had sex again but he says i should go n buy some. Pls i want to know if it's advisable. It was unprotected.

Hello May,
I think it is too late to take Postinor 2. You have been having unprotected sex since your last period. It is very likely that you had unprotected sex while you were ovulating and could already be pregnant. Just wait. If your period is late beyond one week, take a home pregnancy test.

A woman is most likely to conceive (get pregnant) if she has unprotected sex during the ovulation (when an ovary releases a mature egg). Ovulation usually occurs day 11 through day 21 of the cycle, counting from the first day of the last menstrual period.
But, really there is no safe time for a woman to have unprotected sex if she does not want to get pregnant. The exact day of ovulation is difficult to pinpoint.

Hi ifychris,
Generally, it is recommended that Postinor-2 be taken no later than 3 days after having unprotected sex. It has been proven to be more effective when it is taken closer to the time of the sexual encounter.
Did your partner tell you what happened? Did the condom tear or break?
