I started spotting wen I was about three weeks pregnant which seemed like a period but I went to the hospital becuz I was concerned about it they told me that the baby was fine and the my hcg levels were going up still I came back in 72 hrs for my hcg level to be checked and they said it dropped down.. could this happen if u have a period in it pregnancy..

Hello, and thank you for sharing your question with the community.  I'd love to give you some information on the subject.

Bleeding during pregnancy is not uncommon during pregnancy.  Some women even have what seems like a regular period each month during their entire pregnancy.  This is perfectly fine for you and the baby.

Your hCG levels can decrease due to the bleeding, but only your doctor can determine whether or not it is negatively effecting the pregnancy.  Your doctor will keep you informed during your regular check ups.
