(maybe 1 or 2 days different). I have done a pregnancy test today first thing which was negative. I should add that I am nearly 48. It is rather embarrassing to feel like this at my age but as yesterday and today has gone on and my period has not started I have begun to question things and my confidence in me not being pregnant has dropped. I have usual feelings of PMS just no bleeding. Thanks for your help.

Hi Anonymous,

No need to feel embarrassed, we are here to help.

If you had outercourse then this means there was no actual penetration, correct? The odds of you getting pregnant with him ejaculating outside of your vagina are possible but VERY VERY slim to none. At 48, you may begin to experience irregular periods if you haven't already due to perimenopause. This means that some months your period will come and others it won't... sometimes it will be heavier than others and it may not follow your old monthly schedule like you're used to.
