Q:

If my period hasn't been regular on the pill, do I need a stronger one?

I've been on Alesse and Tri cyclen lo for the last year and half and neither has given me a regular period. My periods are spaced evenly, but not according to the pill's schedule. Is this because my dosage is too low? Would Tri cyclen be a better pill?

Hi Anonymous,

Thank you for your question and welcome to Empowher. If your period is not following the pill cycle, you should certainly go back to your physician. There are several different kinds and some pills may not work well with you and therefore, seeing your physician should help straighten out the problem. I hope this helps.
