Is it possible to contract a STD from someone who has never had sex before?

It's the first time he has had sex but may have had some kind of intimacy in the past.

Hi Anonymous,

Sexually Transmitted Diseases are not necessarily only transmitted through penetration. Any behavior that involves Oral sex or fluid exchange can also result in sexually transmitted diseases. If both partners are virgins and have never had any sexual contact with other people, then there is no chance of transmission unless this was something contracted through birth (such as herpes) in which case, the person with the STD would know about. 

Common STDs among teens are Gonorrhea, and Chlamydia.
