I had unprotected sex on Sunday and because we didn't know that my husband had ejaculated partly inside me or completely outside, i got the EC pills(levonorgestrel) 3 hours later and the next dose at time. the next day we had another sex and he claimed that he hadn't ejaculate inside, but I was nervous and took the first pill next day, an hour later I was spotting but it discontinued(I think due to absorption of the pill) and I had the next one 12 hours later. yesterday(Thursday) was my time, but I haven't had my period till now and I'm nervous. pregnancy test won't show anything now I think.. so.. am I pregnant? :(

Hi Anonymous,

If you had sex yesterday, you wouldn't know if you were pregnant today. Pregnancy is a process that can take up to a week to occur. Your period is likely late because of the emergency contraceptive. All EC's may cause a change in your period, it is a side effect of the medication.

Please take a moment to read through the FAQs so that you know what to expect: http://www.planbonestep.com/plan-b-faq.aspx

Good luck,

Rosa
