I went on nuvaring a couple months ago. This past cycle, I put a new ring in on the 12th and then on the 22nd I woke up to blood - and I didn't know what was happening so I reached up in there and the ring is gone! I have no idea when it fell out or what happened to it. I have been bleeding quite heavily in the past 3 days, and I have a new ring in now. What is going on?

If you continue to experience heavy bleeding that lasts longer than 7 days please contact your physician. During your period, bleeding can vary from light to heavy and this is normal-- just note the length in duration. You did the right thing by replacing the lost nuvaring with a brand new one.
