myth abt hair shaving

There is an ancient believe tht the frequent hair shaving of children results in form of the betterment of his/her hair growth... being a mother of 3 yr old girl i m keen 2 know the reality, as i luv my baby's curly hairs (but unfortunately a li'l bit thin hair) n dnt wanna shave it all any more... anxiously waiting 4 the reply...

You are right, this is a myth. The texture and color of the hair is determined under the skin, so it does not matter what you do above the skin, such as shaving. Mayo Clinic has a little blurb on this: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/hair-removal/an00638.
