Hi so I'm new to taking birth control pills and I don't get when I'm supposed to get my period. My ob/gyn prescribed me bc (generess fe) to stop my extremely painful periods and I am currently on my 18th day of taking the green pills which I guess is the active pills. I have 24 active pills and 4 different colored pills. Also I am a virgin but me and my bf have been fooling around but he never ejaculated near my vagina he did ejaculate in my mouth and I swallowed but I dont think there is a risk there but part of me still think that maybe there was a microscopic amount of semen that happened to reach near my vulva or in me while he fingered me or something. I'm really scared that I won't get my period and not knowing when makes me even more scared. I started takibg my first pill the day I started my period when I noticed a little blood on my underwear. I heard from people that the bc isnt supposed to work until your done with the first pack so is thereany possibility of me getting pregnant? And also when would my period come? I fooled aroud with my bf a week after my first pill and today.

Hi Anon,

If you are on birth control and have not missed any days, your chances for pregnancy to occur are less.

Best,

Daisy

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  You can not get pregnant from having oral sex or from being touched.  There would have to be unprotected intercourse during your fertile days in order to get pregnant. Hope this was helpful?

Best,

Daisy

Also I'm in birth control for 18 days now so does that lower my chances of getting pregnant? Also when should I be expecting my period?
